Books By Gershon Ben Keren
In 2013 Tuttle Publishing picked up on Gershon Ben Keren's Blog, and approached him about writing a book on Krav Maga (this was to be the first Krav Maga book to feature full color photographs). Not wanting to produce a "traditional" martial arts book, with techniques broken down into a set of "still"/choreographed photos, he took the decision to film attacks/threats and their solutions at full speed, capturing the dynamic nature of real-life violence. Rather than filming in a studio setting techhniques and solutions were filmed in the actual locations where real-life violence occurs, such as in bars/pubs, outside of ATM's, on the street, at transit stops etc.

Krav Maga: Real World Solutions
Krav Maga – Real World Solutions to Real Life Violence by Gershon Ben Keren is a practical guide to personal safety that emphasizes prevention, sound decision-making, and simple, high-percentage techniques,
that have been proven to be effective in real-life situations. Rather than presenting Krav Maga as a collection of dramatic moves, the book frames Krav Maga as a problem-solving method: read the situation,
reduce the risk, and, if necessary, act decisively with straightforward responses built upon the body’s natural instinctive responses and mechanics. The book spends substantial time on pre-conflict skills,
such as situational awareness, boundary setting, along with how to recognize pre-assault indicators, before moving to physical solutions when force is necessary and unavoidable.

Krav Maga - Tactical Survival
Krav Maga – Tactical Survival by Gershon Ben Keren presents a clear, methodical approach to avoiding and managing everyday violence. The book builds on core Krav Maga principles, such as simplicity, directness, and adaptability, whilst placing equal weight on prevention, assessment, and post-incident considerations. The book organizes material around common situations rather than stylized techniques: confrontations in confined spaces, problems that start at conversational range, attacks involving edged or impact weapons, and threats against third parties. The book’s focus is on social interactions that have become emotionally volatile and how these spontaneous acts of aggression can often - but not always - be de-escalated and resolved using both verbal and non-physical means.

Krav Maga Extreme Survival
Krav Maga – Extreme Survival by Gershon Ben Keren approaches high-risk events—such as active shootings and home invasions—with a measured focus on prevention, decision-making, and simple actions that are viable under stress. Rather than sensational scenarios, the book emphasizes understanding how these events unfold, how stress narrows perception, and why plans must be easy to recall and apply. On active shootings, the book stresses rapid assessment of distance, direction, and available cover; prioritizing movement to safer areas; and making clear, simple choices that coordinate with others. For home invasions and car-jacking , the book highlights layered prevention (visibility, access control, routines), pre-planned family roles, and straightforward protocols for gathering, communicating, and contacting help
